The Gingerbread Man
Suitable for ages 2 to 7 years
A real treat for the very young as they join our hero on his adventurous journey in search of somewhere better. Some amusing characters are encountered on the way but not all are as friendly as they may appear. Finally, our champion learns that there is no place quite like home.
Songs and music abound in this production designed specifically for Nurseries, Playgroups and Young Infants.

"On behalf of the children, I would just like to say thank you for the two wonderful performances that you did for the children. They really enjoyed seeing the story of 'The Gingerbread Man' come to life, and I have to say, I have never seen the Nursery children so quiet, attentive or enthralled. You were prompt and well- organised and the other members of Staff commented how good the actors' accents were. Thank you very much for a delightful day"

"The Gingerbread Man was performed at our school for foundation stage and KS1 children as part of our expressive arts week. The actors managed to whip all the children up to a frenzy and then within seconds there was complete silence again. As a staff we all agreed that your production was the best we have ever experienced in our school and the children produced some fantastic work as a result of your visit. Watching the children's faces while the production was underway was brilliant. They were spellbound and even those children who normally find concentrating a challenge were fully engaged. I would thoroughly recommend the Aesop Touring Theatre Company. It was money well spent and not only thoroughly enjoyable for the children but also the adults!! Thank you very much"
Pam Gleeson - Leavesden Green JMI
"Can I say a very big thank you to everyone for the lovely performance that you gave the children at Stroud School today. It was perfect in every way - content, length of the performance, appropriateness for the entire age range from 3 - 7 year olds! It was splendid!"

Dear Mr Brooks, I write to thank you and your Company for the performances at Millmead Children's Centre. The way in which you were able to engage with our children was remarkable and so very well received. Feedback to me was exceptionally good:"Fantastic; fabulous; never been to such a wonderful play." Both performances were thoroughly enjoyed, and they added a new dimension to Christmas for all those present, including staff. Kindest regards, Yours sincerely, Jan Collins MBE, Independent Chair, MCCPL
Hi Albert, We loved your shows this year and wondered if we could book for next year's World Book Day please? This year we watched Aesop's Fables and The Gingerbread Man, so we clearly would not want to see those again. I am happy to leave the choice of production to a later date if you are likely to be adding more options, if not, then please let me know what else you offer and we shall decide on the two performances we require for next year. Many thanks, Nicky Marsh, Bassingbourn Community Primary School
Thank you so much for delivering your two pantomimes to our school today. Both the children and staff enjoyed them very much and have asked that I book you again for next year! I have attached your booking form in the hope that you can return again on Monday 18th December 2017 in the same format as today – 9.00 am for our younger children and 10.30 am for the older ones.I look forward to hearing from you and Merry Christmas! Dear Aesop's I enjoyed the show you did for us when you performed the Gingerbread Man at PACE, Gloucester. Thank you very much for putting on a great event! Also, thank you for letting me help carry and pack away. The show was very funny and everyone enjoyed it very much. Thanks, Gavin and everyone at P.A.C.E.
Dear Albert, I received your letter of thanks for the booking. I can advise that we were impressed with your company. Staff arrived early and were ready to start at the prearranged time. They engaged the children (and adults) throughout the play getting children to repeat phrase, sing nursery songs etc. Initially I was worried that 45 minutes would be a long time for 4-5 year olds but they were not easily distracted and paid attention. Thank you again. Paula Milligan-Davis,
